James Holzhauer Is Closer To Being "Jeopardy!" Prize Money Champ

"Jeopardy!" champ James Holzhauer is on the verge of being a two-million-dollar winner.

The 34-year-old Las Vegas gambler recorded his 25th consecutive win on last night’s edition, pushing his total prize money past one-point-nine million. He’s the second all-time biggest Jeopardy winner, behind only Ken Jennings.

In 2004, Jennings won 74 games in a row and collected over two-and-a-half-million dollars in prize winnings. It’s hard to believe Holzhauer can win more than 74 games, but time will tell.

The champ is not keeping his winnings to himself, either. He’s already donated tens of thousands of dollars to several hometown organizations, including the Las Vegas-Clark County Library, the Las Vegas Natural History Museum and the Ronald McDonald House in Las Vegas.

The game show is celebrating it’s 35th year and host Alex Trebek has publicly shared he’s undergoing cancer treatment.
