In North Wollongong, Australia, a father bravely leaped into the ocean to save his young daughter from a giant wave. The dramatic incident unfolded when the toddler was running along a seawall, with her dad close behind, and was suddenly swept away by the powerful wave.
Video footage shared by 7 News Australia captures the heart-stopping moment when the wave carries the little girl through the railing on the edge of the seawall straight into the open water. Despite the danger, her father wasted no time in jumping over the rails to rescue her.
Fortunately, both of them were pulled to safety with the help of witnesses. Despite being tossed across rocks, both father and daughter came out of the incident with only minor injuries, having swallowed some seawater and sustained a few scratches. The swift action of the father, along with the help of bystanders, ensured a happy ending to what could have been a tragic event.
