Ohio high school athletes won't be able to cash in on their name, image, and likeness.
High school principals across the state voted down a referendum today that would have allowed student-athletes to make NIL deals.
The Ohio High School Athletics Association says the proposal failed by nearly 300 votes.
Athletes who do sign endorsement deals will lose their amateur status.
