Cleveland Bites with Jen Picciano April 9th

Jen Picciano keeps us updated with what is going on in the Cleveland Food Scene. Whether it is local favorite, a new restaurant or even some places that are now closing their doors. Jen gives us the scoop when it comes to Cleveland Bites!

--------

Sadly, The Black Pig in Ohio City, will be closing its doors for good. The past nine (9) years Chef Michael Nowak has run this establishment serving up European inspired New American cuisine. Unfortunately, Chef Michael is moving to New England and we wish him well. The Black Pig officially closes its doors April 12th, 2021.

--------

Ice Cream Joy has also decided to permanently close. There will be a new partnership taking over the space which will be called Lakewood AF, as in Ang & Fear. The new duo, Dang Good Foods and Fear Confections, will combine the tasty talents of both locations into one new venture. Get ready to envision delicious poke bowls and ice cream treats all in one place!

--------

Another Broken Egg has opened at Crocker Park! Their menu is loaded with fresh ingredients and creative recipes. They have a variety of breakfast classics, memorable brunch dishes and of course lunchtime favorites. If you are looking to experience more than just the classics don't worry they have a plethora of choices such as the Lobster and Brie Omelette, Smoked Salmon Benne, Cinnamon Roll French Toast and Lemon Blueberry Goat Cheese Pancakes.

--------

Also at Crocker Park, the North Union Farmers Market is opening back up. You can stop by every Saturday from 9AM to 1 PM, open early from 9 to 9:30AM for any customers who are 60+ or those who's immune system is compromised. You will find fresh fruit and vegetables, organic maple syrup, honey, farm-fresh eggs, cheeses and much more. There is even FREE parking close the market.

--------

Acqua di Luca will be opening, mid to late May, in the old XO Steaks location in the Warehouse District. This undertaking is the brainchild of Luca and Lola Sema. They opened Luca Italian Cuisine in the Flats in 2013 and later expanded to Westlake opening Luca West. Once it opens, diners will be able to experience seafood focused dishes with an Italian Eatery twist. A daily selection of fresh oysters, specialty pizzas and desserts will round out the menu.
