Dad Creates Bed Sheets With Board Games So Kids Won't Get Bored In Hospital

No one likes being bored when they’re stuck in a hospital room, but Kevin Gatlin really felt bad for the kids who were stuck there with nothing to do.

So the North Carolina man came up with a clever way to help keep pediatric patients entertained in their hospital rooms - a set of bed sheets that have games and activities right on them.

Gatlin was inspired to create Playtime Edventures, the interactive sheet sets, because his wife used to play games on his son’s bed, and then he worked with teachers to make the games educational. Now hospitals across the country use them in kids’ rooms and parents can buy them for their own kiddos, too.

“We put together bed sheets and sleeping bags that cover everything from geography, math, science, grammar, word find games… all on a three-piece set,” Gatlin explains.
