After mom does all the hard work carrying baby for the first nine months, dads are usually willing to jump in and share parenting duties once that bundle of joy is born. But if mom is breastfeeding, it’s a little harder to tag team caring for that infant, because all they want is mama.
Because mom has the milk, she can end up feeling drained while dad stands by feeling helpless. But one clever dad came up with a feeding hack to help soothe his daughter when she only wanted mom and nothing else would do, not even the bottle he was offering.
Anthony Favors is a father of five, so he knows all about bottles and babies. But when his daughter was only happy with mom, he improvised, cutting a hole in his shirt and poked a bottle full of breast milk through the hole. He shared a photo on Facebook of the infant cuddled up, drinking from the bottle through the shirt, writing that he “tricked her.”
But his solution wasn’t just comical, it worked. Even mom agrees and gave props to Favors for being an awesome father. But he gives all the credit to his wife for breastfeeding and admits he doesn’t know how she does it. Having a partner like him definitely helps!
