So you're working remotely these days and logging in to your office's Zoom or Skype meeting and notice your co-worker "Pete" has disabled his camera. That's because there's a good chance "Pete" isn't dressed appropriately, or worse, not wearing clothes at all! A recent survey of stay-at-home workers finds 12% have switched off their cameras during a video conference due to a lack of clothing. The survey by the interactive presentation website Mentimeter found 44% of respondents said they would get dressed up for a video meeting and 46% would spend more time fixing their hair or makeup right before their meeting went live.

16% of those surveyed said they rearranged their homes to have a more professional background for the video conference. That may be because 11% of people said they saw something unprofessional in the background of a co-workers video call. One guy reportedly went as far as to print out a luxury apartment background just to impress his colleagues whom he figured were checking out his place.
