Better Business Bureau Scam of the week - CBD

CBD products are very popular with consumers and con artists preying on buyers looking for a deal. Common come-ons include BOGO, phony endorsements by Shark Tank investors or celebrities, and free samples.

If you fall for this, you can find your credit card has been charged for purchases you never authorized, purchases that never arrive, and your credit card information is now in the hands of scammers who can run up phony charges later.

Consumers tell BBB that scammers used numerous excuses to avoid issuing refunds. Victims who agreed to a monthly delivery report that the charges continued even after they cancelled their subscription.

Be sure to read all terms of any monthly trial offer and report unauthorized charges to your credit card company.
