Bloomdaddy Presents The “Give For Triv Event” To Benefit Coats For Kids

CLEVELAND – WTAM afternoon host Bloomdaddy is picking up where Mike Trivisonno left off and will help raise money for Coats for Kids on Monday, May 23rd from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Triv helped raise millions of dollars over his career for local charities, but there was one charity that he held dear in his heart and that is Coats for Kids. Bloomdaddy said, “Triv always said it’s not the kids fault and I could not agree more. There is one thing I’m also passionate about and that is doing anything I can to help kids both on and off the air. We hope to raise a lot of money on Monday”.

Rick Solon from the Figgie Foundation will stop by to make a very big announcement and special guests for the show include Ohio Governor Mike DeWine.

Executive Director of Coats For Kids, Debbie Martinko said “I can’t thank WTAM and The Bloomdaddy Show enough for their support. It means so much to the charity! Monday will also be a day when Coats For Kids can publicly thank our partners”.

Bloomdaddy became the afternoon drive host on WTAM in February. Before entering into the world of radio, Bloomdaddy spent 15 years as a morning television anchor and reporter in the Ohio Valley and Charleston, West Virginia. He is the father of three boys and created his radio name to honor his sons: “Bloom” for his last name Blomquist and “Daddy” because that’s his #1 job.

In 1981, local radio station employees became aware of a large number of children missing school in the winter because they did not have warm coats. That November, Coats for Kids – Cleveland was founded when the radio station began soliciting donations of new or like-new winter coats.
