Cavaliers TV Announcer Fred McLeod Has Died At 67

So sad to hear of the passing of Cavs play-by-play man Fred McLeod at the age of 67. He died suddenly Monday night, and no cause of death has been released. Click on the post below to read the full statement from the Cavaliers organization.

Fred did our Cavs games on Fox Sports Ohio for 14 consecutive seasons since 2006, and made that memorable call with Austin Carr in 2016 when the Cavaliers won the NBA Championship. What the fans didn't see was that Fred was crying right along with us...

Fred also had a great sense of humor, never really took himself too seriously.... and by all accounts, always had a great relationship with the players.

Fred put a lot of hard work into his broadcasts for us...

And the tributes keep pouring in from players and fellow broadcasters....

Rest in peace my fellow broadcaster. Thanks for so many amazing moments with the Cavs over the years, and for being there by our side, reflecting EXACTLY what we were feeling as the Cavs finally won it all. I'm so glad you lived to see it, brother.

Peace, love and strength to your wife Beth (who we also know from your her meteorological work on Fox 8,) your children and the rest of your family!!
