(Akron) -- Former Akron police captain Douglas Prade who was ordered into protective custody by Summit County Common Pleas Judge Christine Croce, has been set free once again. 

The State Supreme Court has agreed to hear his appeal of yesterday's ruling that Prade was freed improperly last year after serving 15 years for his wife's murder. 

The State Supreme Court has ordered Prade released again - pending the outcome of their hearing into the case.
