(CLEVELAND)-Kyrie Irving agreed to a five-year, $90 million contract extension with the Cleveland Cavaliers that secures the star point guard as a cornerstone of the franchise.
Irving made the commitment early Tuesday during a meeting in New York with team officials, including new coach David Blatt. He tweeted about it on his twitter account.

Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert also tweeted his confirmation of the deal early Tuesday.
