Funeral Plans Set for Fallen Euclid Police Officer

(Euclid) Funeral arrangements have been made for fallen Euclid police officer Jacob Derbin who was killed in the line of duty this past Saturday night.

Calling hours will be this Friday May 17th from 3pm - 8pm at A. Ripepi and Sons Funeral Home on Bagley Road in Middleburg Heights. The funeral will take place on Saturday May 18th at 11am at St. Columbkille Church on Broadview Road in Parma. After which the body of the 23-year-old will be laid to rest at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cuyahoga Heights.

For those who want to line the route the hearse will take, it will leave A. Ripepi and Sons at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, then take the following route:

  • East on Bagley Road/Pleasant Valley Road
  • North on Broadview Road to St. Columbkille Church
  • After the funeral Mass, North on Broadview Road
  • East on Rockside Road
  • North on Brecksville Road
  • Slight jog right then left onto northbound East 71st Street to St. Mary's Cemetery

Derbin had been a member of the Euclid Police Department for less than a year. He was also a member of the Army National Guard
